Breathwork

Breathwork can be useful to anyone: it can be used to enhance your physical performance, or relieve the suffering associated with stress, chronic pain, recurring injury or fatigue, including post-Covid.

The potential benefits include:​

  • an increased sense of well-being, calm and clarity

  • improved posture

  • an increased ability to deal with stress

  • greater energy levels

A breathing pattern assessment may involve: 

  • a pre-treatment questionnaire

  • blood oxygen level and heart rate reading

  • a breath hold test

  • observational and hands-on assessment of diaphragmatic and global movement patterns

Treatment includes hands-on and mobility techniques to improve your breathing pattern, and a personalised home programme with breathing drills to practice​, self-mobilisation techniques and self-release points.
